Adam Armshaw | Plant Manger
How long have you worked at Walraven UK and what is your current role?
I have worked at Walraven for 10 years, having recently been promoted to Plant Manager in 2024.
What do you like best about the company?
It is a family owned company with a real family ethos running throughout, nobody is just a number, and everybody is
integral to the success of the company.
Describe the company culture in three words
Open, honest and people-centric.
Does the company offer flexible work arrangements?
Yes, absolutely, one thing that the pandemic has taught us all is that we can and should have flexibility in the workplace and that hybrid working arrangements are beneficial for both the employer & employee. A good work-life balance is really important at Walraven.
How does the company celebrate employee success?
No matter how small or large the success, it’s really important that it is recognised. One way we do this is through our Reward & Recognition platform called Bonusly; this is where everyone can recognise and reward a colleagues achievement or idea, which is shared across the whole company so others can see and also recognise that work by rewarding them with extra points. At any time employees can cash in their points for vouchers to spend at a whole host of well-known outlets, or indeed they can donate them to charity if they wish.
We also put on events to reward the work of all of employees such as a staff BBQ afternoon; and last’s years one with crazy golf was a big hit for all.
