We are thrilled to announce that Walraven has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for our continuous commitment to sustainability.

This recognition places us in the top 35% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis in the past year!

Understanding our position in terms of sustainability is crucial. Our customers need clear insights into our sustainability practices to make informed decisions. This rating validates our efforts and empowers our stakeholders to know about our performance.

The EcoVadis rating aligns perfectly with our goal of being a responsible corporate company and reinforces our dedication to sustainable practices.

Our passion for social and sustainability issues

We are deeply committed to all EcoVadis themes: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Being a multinational with a heart means prioritising people—both internally and in our value chain. Our efforts in measuring and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3 are a testament to this commitment. We aim to achieve carbon neutrality in scopes 1 and 2 by 2027.

Our performance and achievements

We are proud to have earned a Bronze medal, reflecting our overall score of 63%, above the industry average. Notably, our score in the Environment category was evaluated as “advanced” with a 70% score. This high score results from our dedicated efforts to implement robust policies and measures over the past five years.

Our performance places us above average compared to our peers, highlighting our leadership in sustainability within our industry. Our continuous improvement, especially in environmental practices, sets a benchmark for others to follow.

Next steps and future improvements

We hold ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications for multiple locations and are working to extend these standards to more entities. Our journey towards sustainability is ongoing, and we are committed to further enhancing our practices.
