Renewed Walraven rail systems – making sustainability a priority

In our ongoing commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, our Product Managers regularly review our product ranges to make ongoing improvements in sustainability and ease of installation. By adopting more sustainable materials and streamlining the installation process, we aim to provide an exceptional experience that aligns with our values and meets the evolving needs of our customers.

One of our most recent product updates was for our channel systems Walraven RapidRail® and Walraven RapidStrut®.

Walraven RapidRail® – the lighter, faster version of strut

Walraven RapidRail is a small profile, lightweight and easy-to-install rail system. 41×41 strut channel is bulky and over-engineered for standard plumbing, plant rooms, ducting and cable tray installations. It can also be difficult to install overhead due to the size and weight. Walraven RapidRail offers smaller profile channel (we recommend the 30×20 profile for most needs) which is easier to cut, carry, store and install.

This product is not new, but recently our Product Managers reviewed the system to consider the sustainable use of raw materials and improving your installation convenience even further.

The renewed design now includes:

• Reduced use of raw materials while maintaining the same strength and load capacity. Results in even lighter weight to carry around at a building site and, at the same time, a decrease in the product’s environmental footprint.
• The rail has a smart hole pattern for versatile connection options: insert, lock, done!
• The availability in 6m but also 2 and 3m lengths to make storing, carrying and transporting easier.
• An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is now available for this system

And not forgetting, the system still coes with the preassembled fixings to save you valuable time during installation.

Walraven RapidStrut® – increase your installation efficiency

As an installer, safe and secure installations are a priority, but at the same time efficiency and sustainability are becoming more and more important.

Walraven RapidStrut answers your needs. This medium channel system is a direct alternative to 41×41 and 41×21 basic channel. This system has the same range of profiles but offers advantages over basic strut channel to make installation quicker, easier and more sustainable including:

• Complete range of pre-assembled fixings and accessories that are ready to use on-site: insert, lock, done!
• Fixing holes for effortless connection to walls and ceilings using concrete screws
• A versatile choice of rail profiles, cantilever arms and accessories for a broad range of installation types
• A minimal trumpet effect after cutting due to the gentle roll-forming process on our machinery
• Available with highly corrosion-resistant surface treatments (Stainless steel or Walraven BIS UltraProtect® 1000) which make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
• Traceability coding secures the quality of the product everywhere and always.
• An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is now available for this system
